I think it's good to have a lost n found box where you can put the items you found inside and the box is locked..keys will be hold by the facilities department..

But how big will the box be???
If one huge textbook like an accounting book is found in the lab, definitely the box will be full and we need to determine how big the drop hole for the box is going to be made else, others can easily grab the stuff of others that they want >_<

If you found something that you believe belongs to someone, submit it to the SIC.

Maybe can have a place near the new block for people to drop the Lost and Found things coz even though some might be kind to return the things that they found, they might not have the time to go all the way to the SIC >_<

I personally think that it is good to centralize the Lost n Found place at SIC.
IF we place a lost n found box at Open Lab, soon and later people will ask to place another box at maybe Cafe, followed by Carpark, and even MPH, this actually making the things more complicated.

Other than that, Forum also another alternative palce to report Lost and Found


If a person is really kind to return founded item to the owner, I think the person dont mine to walk to SIC and submit it.
