Here the forum provider has implemented new features which is the Point & Reputation System.

POINT SYSTEM

The point system is a system based on different criteria and allowing users to evaluate.

• Number of posts **
  
• Number of topics created **
  
• Number of positive & positive vote in the poll created ** (Still in testing)
  
• Number of days since registration
  
• Reputation System (Still in Testing)
  
• Number of friends

** Chit Chat Section are not Included

Currently the Point are given like this

Reputation	1 / rep point
Add Friend	1 / rep point
Modship	KIV
Point Rewarding	KIV

REPUTATION SYSTEM
Reputation is composed of items related to evaluations by users and items related to the feature "Thank you".

• You can Vote for each of the post whether you like or dont like - Only member with number of posts more than 100 can place vote
  
• A member can place 20 votes per day only
  
• If people like ur post you will gain 1 rep point, if people dislike ur post your rep point will deducted by 1 **
  
• Display a button "thanks" in the topic that you started, and you can click it once by topic if you feel that the reply given by the member is the most relevant.
  
• If the thread starter Thanks your post on his / her topic, you will get 3 rep points **

anyway, for the mean time, the point system is just for fun..but it will be useful in future...

Because let's be clear. Though Unvarnished may be billed as a natural extension of trends that started with LinkedIn, Yelp, and even Facebook, MySpace, and message boards, there's nothing about this site that, in my opinion, doesn't lead almost immediately to rank nastiness.

After a long conversation with co-founder Peter Kazanjy, formerly of VMWare, I'm convinced that the founders (the others come from eBay and LinkedIn) really do think they're creating a site that will maintain a professional veneer, be well moderated by its users, and won't descend into personal attacks. I just don't agree
