| I've realized that lately..or perhaps ever since I started using any Open Lab that there's always students who would either;
1. Watch movies in the lab and turning the volume as loud as it can, or
2. Playing music at a very high volume.
I'm wondering if these type of students are BORN STUPID or are they're just to self centered that THEY DONT CARE ABOUT OTHERS USING THE COMPUTER LAB?
Its obvious that any one who belongs to either 2 group that i mentioned above isn't doing any thing productive in the lab such as doing assignments or research etc. So I do believe that they should at least respect those students who are utilizing the true purpose of the computer lab by at least lowering the volume of what ever crap they're listening to.
I'm just tired and sick with these type of students.
YOU'RE NOT KIDS ANY MORE! DO I HAFTA TELL YOU TO SHUT UP!? |

| Totally agree with you break mic! i mean it's not that we're in secondary school, primary school or kindergarten! but oh well, i guess the obviously simple lab rules might be too hard for them to interpret and understand. those students are inconsiderate and misusing the lab whilst other students who rili wana use it didn't get to use. annoying indeed! |

| When I see a new thread with full caps on every letter of its title, no doubt must be break d mic! Not being racist or anything but previously its always the foreign students who do this and its only a certain few. I guess they have a higher passion for music compare to the locals. However recently the local students are absorbing this habit and it has become a 'trend'. Sad. My only suggestion for the IT dept is to permanently disable the audio :3 _________________ No one knows everything, and everyone knows something a bit different from others. | yelor.. even if the audio isnt disabled, i thought ppl shud be thoughtful and considerate enough to try not to use the audio.. nobody is interested to listen to the music they want to listen! |

| Speakers in computers are rare. Never heard one till I'm in Swinburne. You got to wonder how are they even enjoying the sound coming out of those boxes. You can't blame their stupidity.
Even if headphone users turn their volume to the max, they have the right to damage their ears. _________________ |

| Damaging their ears is their fault but distracting others when they need to concentrate results in wastes of time, stress, tension, not productive. It doesn't help anyone! Its a lose-lose situation! _________________ No one knows everything, and everyone knows something a bit different from others. We are all teaching each other as we go along. - James Nachtwey

| At least I won't lose my hearing in the future. Someone must have been visiting the lab very often to encounter this problem. Let's hope that he/she isn't playing FB while being distracted. _________________ |

| someone do not need to visit the lab often to encounter this problem. there are always ppl who do not know how to respect others. visiting lab often or not do not have anything to do with this. |

| Hypothetically, frequent lab users have higher chance of encountering this problem. That's what I had in mind while typing the previous message. I don't really care as I rarely use the lab for doing assignment. It'll get annoying if I encounter annoying people repeatedly, which is quite a misfortune. _________________ |
