| Who do you think will be the next US president? A new US president will be voted in on November 4 on one of the most important days to Americans. The world over will rise to a new day where the head of one of the most powerful nations on earth will be revealed - either Obama, or Mc Cain. It will be history in the making, who do you think it will be? Vote!
Barack Obama It has been the rich and varied experiences of Barack Obama's life - growing up in different places with people who had differing ideas - that have animated his political journey. Amid the partisanship and bickering of today's public debate, he still believes in the ability to unite people around a politics of purpose - a politics that puts solving the challenges of everyday Americans ahead of partisan calculation and political gain. John Mc Cain John McCain has a remarkable record of leadership and experience that embodies his unwavering lifetime commitment to service. First elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona in 1982, John has led the fight for reforming Washington, eliminating wasteful government spending, and strengthening our nation's armed forces. | *swt* lol...
He's of mixed blood. He was born to a white mother and a black Kenyan father, reared in Hawaii by his white grandparents and for a few years in Indonesia with his Indonesian stepfather. Your reason you vote for him is cuz he's black; but in America, a lot of whites and other people of other races such as the Hispanics and Asians are voting for him. He has wide appeal, it's not just race because Hilary was actually more popular to blacks than Obama was. I think this is what we call voter maturity. _________________

| Need we say more? Unofficial online polls everywhere are showing longer blue bars then red ones.
I'm with whoever that wins.
Seriously though, it's Obama. I haven't bothered to dive into researching the two candidates but there's no better candidate than a black president for the US of A pushing for change.
Also, our beloved George W. Bush had made the Republicans lovable enough.
And please, I'll vote for anyone who doesn't have Sarah Palin as his running mate. _________________

| There are several reasons why I think Obama may not be the best choice for Americans, or more importantly, the rest of the world. Whenever I think about the policies that are put forth by Obama, in terms of economic management and of foreign policy, only McCain has planned for actual action by proposing to induce free trade, stop lobbyist action and make sure that there is at least a minimal confrontation in countries that do require a peace treaty. The sword-rattling strategies of Obama on the only hand would only serve to usher America into an era of detente, if not a new version of the Cold War, being too centralized in American problems that are created by an ill coordinated effort to regulate the market in the first place - set-piece appeasement is basically the start of the subprime mortgage crisis in the first place.
Sure, Obama may have the swagger and urge to improve America and thus be an international friend instead of big brother, but I guess the intelligensia of America must see it too - it is time for an explosive change or relative stability and predictibility? At the moment, nobody knows, because not of them are the Kennedy's or Roosevelt hopefuls we need...
p/s: I vote McCain, but even then I do not see the potential in both candidates... _________________ The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his. ~George Patton |

| An American friend of mine once said, upon being asked about the political situation there, that "both candidates s**k." He said other Marines are of the same sentiment. Quite a number don't like the war, because there wasn't any real reason for it, esp the Iraq War so they don't like a Republican to run the house again, but also don't think the the Democrat candidates are convincing enough.
There are a few aspects about Obama's policies that I don't think sits too well with me, but I must say... the Democrat combination of Obama - Biden is less worrying than the McCain - Palin one. I find Palin disturbing. _________________

| I actually find that Palin could be the perfect support for the Republican Party. It must be noted that she is quite devoted to the Reds. Her controversial career when she was young should probably be her only weakness. _________________ The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his. ~George Patton |

| Her devotion is without a doubt. I do question her involvement in the sacking of a brother-in-law however. D:
Well, at least she didn't say she hunts baby seals. I think. >_<' _________________

| Internal bickering - I hate it when they make that a public issue. Things happen. I just think it's more important to look into the bigger issues, such as FINDING OUT WHO'S IN THE WHITE HOUSE TODAY!!! | This is the moment of truth, ladies and gentlemen. And let it be noted that with Senator Obama's ascension to the rank of Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America or basically the boss of all bosses shall be viewed with caution.
My opinion - this fella's gonna be nothing but trouble for SouthEast Asia. No economic power has ever prospered under a highly regulated market that subjects its local industries under maximum security. I say this Democrat is nothing but trouble!
Maybe he's a hero back home, but to us petty Malaysians, Amen! _________________ The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his. ~George Patton |
