After the G84/86 fiasco, NVIDIA is at it again! This time with the GeForce 9400 mGPU in Apple's latest unibody Macbooks.
Nvidia heat causing Macbooks to faill
UPDATE: 'In-depth analysis' by the Inquirer revealed that the GeForce 9600M discrete GPU still uses high lead solder, same as the one used in G84/86 earlier this year. Will they ever learn...

They might as well carved some heatsink fins out of that aluminum block at the bottom... coupled with a lappy cooler it'll work as a big cooler of some sort..

My amd graphic only goes to lukewarm temp Very Happy

But that might roast my thighs too. Evil or Very Mad
Wait till AMD Conesus comes out then Macbook Air will have some real competition. Let's see who can make the thinnest notebook, faster graphics performance and low thermal. Don't see NVIDIA going into that segment any time soon...

That post of yours made me think of Macbook AIRflow, you have the thinnest now you have the thickest. comes with built in coolerpad and all aluminum heatsink.. Oh! and optical drive too!

I'll go crazy if my notebook doesn't have optical drive. Never mind who is 1mm thinner, I want practicality. Conesus would be perfect for playing HD video and light gaming with ultra portability. Macbook Air can't do that. Playing Spore with the crappy Intel IGP sucks!

Back to topic, ever wonder why the VIA-NVIDIA platform never came out? We know the answer now. The Macbook is an experiment, that is now in limbo.

New update posted. Best bet: Buy Macbook with only NVIDIA mGPU. Eutectic solder guaranteed.
