Bundled driver is always preliminary support version. It's a rule to never use driver in the CD.

Here's my LONG delayed result.

mato89, maybe you should try updating your ATI Catalyst drivers? you can get them at http://downloads.guru3d.com/
i'm not too sure about ATI drivers, but newer ones aren't always the best/stable drivers...you might want to check which one would be the best for you

Grabbing it from manufacturer's site is always the best, but depending on who's. Usually makers have their own optimized versions.

Just download the latest driver @ http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx

AMD/ATI need to focus on optimizing driver on new products (they should be doing so logically), which may produce some bugs on other models. So your GPU should perform the nicest with the latest drivers.

That's the old days. NVIDIA and AMD have more stringent standards on card production and quality control such that customizing driver is doesn't bring more benefits. And manufacturers almost never update their driver. How many review sites actually use manufacturer driver?

so you've got 3dmark vantage already installed right? then grab the latest ATI drivers from the site i mentioned, try installing them (after uninstalling your old drivers) and then running 3dmark again. see if it works Smile

@retro=Unless you have the mainstream cards, usually newer cards like the HD4870x2 and the 9600GT when was released, manufacturers don't even have drivers for them yet. I had hard time putting a system with those cards in a PC. Ended up using maker's one instead.

FYI=Manufacturer=ATI/nVidia, makers=3rd party makers like Gigabyte, ASUS. That's how I classify them. Sorry if confusing.
