I am local tho...
But do you satisfy and happy with what you have nowadays...
for example, traffic jams, or sometimes you go shopping and buy thing but you dont get equal benofits compare others.

Do some application but being ignored by the officer, but other people who have relationship or relative work inside the department will get priority to get access or complete the applications...

And some are like service provider company, they hire lots of promoters and tell you all about benifits of using their product or service but they did not emphasize important terms and condition and end up you will get lots of hidden charges. And when you go to appeal they say this and say that....

there is still lots more example if i really want to list it down...but all those may indirectly attack or affect that person or company reputation, end up my threads will be close down , delete and even I myself will get banned from this forum...

So i just say out few example of mine...

I believe most of us will experience it especially in Kuching...
We want to appeal or complain but no one hear our unsatisfaction...

So do you experience it?

em...so far quit ok...and quit satisfy..like what kit said i will complain..but it is not a big deal...
i think life have many different situation...
think it positive will make you felt better..

like traffic jam...i think compare with Jarkata...i think here is much much much more better..
like relative/relation work inside getting more easier access....bla bla bla..
i think what ever which city you being...this problems will always existing...
like services provider case...as a consumer please please please read the term and condition before you purchase something...i know why you have such complain , sometime i felt regret when i purchased something and ignoring the term and condition make myself very angry....but think backward, i am the one who ignoring or not clearly read the rules and regulations...what more??

by the way, there might have something you will really really felt very angry and felt unfair to yourselves...
but think it positive and be this you target...
make yourself the one who is powerful...
...
sorry if my opinion hurt you or what..
i just shout out my opinion....
thanks for the thread..

Corruption is everywhere, its a matter of being a huge or small thing. More civilized countries have lower rate of corruption. This includes like per said, insiders of corporations or bodies who can pull some strings. Its just a way of life here. Heck, I also have internal connections around but never abused it so far (minus one fact I got a summon because my car wasn't parked properly in the box and 1/4 of the place was taken by rubbish bins and had to get someone inside to get something I never deserved to be cleared out).

Jams, not much a fuss to me. Either I leave early, or late to avoid the jams.

Stuff, usually read through and ask thoroughly before buying/applying. Does not hurt to slow down a little. We aren't in a big city unlike KL where one is stuck in a jam most of the time (even driving from one place to another which is just a few stone throws away takes at least 1 hour). Take things slowly.

Cheers.

Well, I appreciate both your explanation. But my purpose for opening this thread is not to solve what i have experience it. Al thought it is, there is too many things I experience it in such a way unfairness, laziness of our government, and many many more. Does you people could solve it for me?

Anyway, come back to the topic. I just want to know is there anyone who did experience something that make they feel dissatisfy but they could't do anything. I believe there is lots dissatisfaction among student in swinburne. Take this as example (this is real story)

One of the student study in Uni "S" from China been charge for late enrollment while actually his father send the money through Fund Transfer from China Bank to HSBC 2 Weeks before the closing date. Just because the there is problem in between the process and the that student get money on the 3rd week, immediately he paid the fee with that excuse with a prove of letter from the bank. But what the Uni S finance staff say, "Late means Late. No Excuses!!!". He rise up on the uni forum but the moderator just close his issue and pretend nothing ever happen.

He has 2 dissatisfactory but he could't do anything. He pay the fees late is not his fault and he dont mean it and he been threaten like this. He want to share his experience with other students but his experience been sweep off.

So what is your advice?
just forget and accept it?
take it as experience, pay earlier next time?

but the thing is he never do anything wrong, why he should be punish?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So i stop the story here,
Come back to the real topic,
If you have any disatisfactory towards anything. I want to hear it.
I want to justify it. Dont ask me why.
I will tell you all soon
tongue

ps. Sorry i cant use the real name of that student and uni name or i will be threaten as well... tongue

From the uni's point of view:
The uni has no affiliation with the banks. Hence, when the transaction is late it's the banks' fault. Since the banks are acting as middlemen in the transaction and the uni's finance staff is not bothering with the 'extra paperwork', it is the student himself whose to blame now.

But there is possibility of bringing this matter to the court. In my view it is a strong case. We have the oppositions here.

FOR THE THREAD -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMO we should understand the situations that we're in, i.e. the rules and regulations, the people, etc. Be a smart consumer instead. Read more newspaper. Use the internet to read news and learn new things instead of using it to play freakin' Facebook and crappy online games only! Seriously, in most of the cases there's no one to blame but yourself. The problem with youngsters today is their lack of knowledge. I don't bother with discussing daily news with others since no one else even knows!
[Solves the R&R problem and most of the small ones.]

Traffic jam? There's Mr. Chong and Dr. George Chan to help. You can't help that locals are living better, thus having their own cars. And rebuilding main roads would have cause more jams. At least we're SIGNIFICANTLY less congested that in KL. Just avoid the predictable rush hours. Maybe someone can enlighten us about the bus routes in Kuching?
[Solves the traffic problem, partially.]

It's human nature to pull a few strings when doing something important. It's the same everywhere. Would you do it for your relatives, you yourself who complains about it? I know I would. Just don't let the boss know.
[Solves the relative problem, mostly]

Not satisfied with anything here? Migrate to somewhere else. Hey, most of us Chinese are trilingual. A definite plus in job finding. Just don't blame your own choice unto others.

You just have to stop complaining and learn to live with it. Blame other people for their insolence and lack of information. At the end of the day you'll feel good yourself.

Thanks for the ****.
[1st] As i wrote before. This thread is not used to solve problem I or other member rise it. (so dont tell me the solution - if you have dissatisfaction please share, I dont request any "solution" that sound like "escape method").

[2nd] Migrate to other place is an escape. You temp to born in KCH but just because you cant overcome something then you migrate. + some can migrate and not all. The same problem apply after your migrate. You may found the people or government there are the same. You want to get PR, Work permit, etc etc unless you fulfilled the requirement + some connection there or $$$. So the same thing still there.

[3rd]Knowledge is everywhere, we all have 24 hours a day only. -sleep and study time, how many hours you left for you to justify which info are useful and which is not?

[Final]Back to the case, Just a little thinggy and they want to follow the rules until the court? That simple thing they follow the rules, Important thing dont even see they follow the rules.

Tips of today, you know how to scam or earn fast money legally?
this is mostly done by big big corporate or company.
Take the one late fee payment as example, they actually can make the thing simple and waives the penalty but just because they want to
1) reduce their job as financial officer - laziness
2) help to earn extra income for their company or corporate
they ask you to go here and there, filling this and that form, end up bring up to court.

Many people think, haiz...so troblesome, "nvm la, pay the panalty fee la, no time to do this and that...wad to do..."
AND
yes they successfully earn / scam the extra penalty!!!

I question the purpose this thread.
If you want others to share their problems then is it not right to propose solutions to those?

I believe your migration debate isn't targeted solely at me. It's a common escape method to those whose are just dissatisfied with everything here. AUS$2000+ for a CPA accountant sounds better than RM2500 here. I won't go into other details here. Each country has its own pros and cons. I'm sure most of us would stay just for personal reasons. Migration is usually for those professionally qualified.

If you're not working, then you should be gathering knowledge. I found myself having more free time in uni than in secondary school. So sleeping off half of the day and studying is your excuse for shutting yourself from the outside world? Any parents would say that's a lie. A very lame lie. There are lots to learn from newspapers alone. Try picking up one and read. (Just an advice, you can correct your grammar mistakes by reading.)

About the your student vs. uni case, any case can be brought to court as the last resort. Please don't be so negative about everything. It's not productive if you keep dispelling any constructive suggestion that people give. Ultimately, you are the person that you hate.

Note: "You" in this message refers to the general public, not whoever I'm replying.

Of course i wanted to see solutions, but not "escape method"
As what you said..."Migration is usually for those professionally qualified.". Going Aus or NZ and work at the apple farm consider a proffessional skills? you forgot this, there is lots more under proffessional qualified people migrate. Because they choose to escape from the current problem instead of facing them.

I believe you have more free time staying in uni probably because :
1) you are not local people.
2) You have not many friends
3) You have no social or clubs activities (I mean not being a committee or handling heavier positions)
4) You are spending ur parent money but never earn a single cent at the moment.

Thats why you have more time to do nth but read books and newspapers over and over again.

Another things, this is from bottom of my heart. I really hate people acting very proffessional while actually they are not that proffessional. I know this forum is made to promote good English or gramma or etc etc. But do you think "lol", "IMO", "haiz", "greeeee" etc etc are proffessional or standard english?
Quote:
Please don't be so negative about everything.

This is all forum language, you can ask if you dont understand my english but dont critics.
Are you dissatisfy with my comment?
Voice up here geek

Oh yeah, before i forgot...
By reading newspapers, you might not get the real story of the incident.
Take for example, even a lots of media have the prove A minister killed Mongol PR officer but they do not allow to publish it else the press company will be force to shut down.

You maybe the people who do not know anything but pretended to know everything by reading newspapers but actually there is lots hidden information are not in the newspaper.

Nowadays, many people build their blogs or joining forums, but when ever they want to post something, they post half way. example :
"Why 'you' treated me like this?"
instead of
"Why Jason treated me like this?"

They dont dare to put the full info in as they maybe in troubles such as being banned in forum. etc etc...

Dissatisfaction? Streamyx sucks!!!!! My line is not stable at all..... These two days can't online, thats why I just saw this thread =_______=

Life is full of ups and downs and we got nothing to do but deal with it. If not, bare with it and life goes on.

Ok now before the next person reply to this thread, please reconsider and read through on what you are posting because different people perceive things differently and others might think what you are writing is offensive just because the way you write is different from others.

Cheers~

Hey hey, please. No vendettas here. This is a forum, and everyone have their rights to speak, but please refrain from flaming each other or something along that line. A forum is meant for discussion and chat (in a sense) so please exercise a level of restrain.

@nobody= Maybe you can bring that "late fee" case to the vice-chancellor, since your friend have prove from the bank. Arguing with the finance department is not much of a use. The case can be brought up to the registrar if you want. He might be able to help. I'm just giving suggestion. Whether it works out or not, I do not have any idea.

Language wise, I wouldn't say much since most younger generations will get into the culture of short forms like texting language and so forth. It is unavoidable. This is also found in forums as well as chatting as people tend to use this short language because it involves less typing. I rarely use this short cuts as I do not want to mess up my command of language but at times, it is unavoidable. Its your pick either to use it or not.

I think I'll stop here. I'm bad at expressing myself using words and people tend to grab the wrong end of the stick from what I said. Haha.

Cheers.

Hmm... My arguments. Misinterpreted again, as usual. I'm not going to answer nobody's speculations about my background.

Mods please remove any statements deemed offensive. I've seen some here.

Thanks for both the Admin and Mod judgement.
I dont mean to violate any rules from this forum...
Just my purpose of creating this thread is to see how many and what people dissatisfy with...
Then i will make my conclusion on my research and survey...

anyway, I have recieve many complain about streamyx from my other research place, forums, and friends...and it is really damn slow. Probably we should try WimaX. I think i will come across in a place to discuss about streamyx problem...

Hope to hear more dissatisfaction from others.

ps. sorry RetroMayday, for arguing with you
