Yes, its true. You have to collect the result from the Student Information Center (SIC). The notice is posted on the notice board at the lobby of G block.


My diploma result is only out on Friday, still have to wait longer >_>

if you haven't get your result slip, go to student information center at G block 1st floor and present you student ID to retrieve your reults

Just got my results too after a chaotic afternoon at the SIC. Results weren't up to my expectations but in no way will they affect my view towards how the Student Admin handled this time's results publictions.

One word - dumb, dumb, dumb. Ok , make that three words.

Why on earth did they stop posting results online? Other Uni's seek to improve but Swinburne managed to prove that they actually make steps backwards. There are M'sian public universities that already offer results checking via automated phone inquiries and SMS years ago. Go figure.

When previously I could check my results from the comfort of my home - I didn't mind if it was buried in a poorly-formatted multi-sheet excel spreadsheet among 367583 other students - I didn't have to drive myself all the way to campus. No, I'm not making a big fuss out of an extra effort I have to make just to get my results. Why?

For starters, need I remind you that we're in the midst of an influenza outbreak. Now, of all times, they stop publishing results online and force everyone to campus to squeeze and cuddle around in the tiny SIC area. Very thoughtful, don't you think? I'm not paranoid but as I stood there earlier waiting for my number, I thought of the irony of the whole situation unfolding before my eyes.

Not to mention, have they ever thought if the implications summoning each and every one of your students for an extra trip driving to campus? Talk about cloud-seeding and improving the haze situation!

I could go on like how crammed the SIC is yet they expect the whole School of Eng/Bus/IT to line up there at a time, the hassle outstation students have to deal with despite providing email service, etc. Why do we have to turn a simple results publication into such a chaotic and complicated affair?

I say: Bring back online publications of results!
